HAPPY PEOPLE
A monthly newsletter to keep you smiling
by Coach Jille Bartolome

NOTES FROM YOUR COACH Ok, I have to admit it, I have been pretty lax in the Newsletter department. The history of my newsletter speaks for itself. I started out several years ago with a weekly newsletter. That lasted all of a few months. I then went to a monthly, which I seemed to get to done once in a while. I am giving it another shot! I am going with a monthly newsletter with an occasional announcement in-between. CAN SHE DO IT?

You might say, "but Jille is a coach and should not have these kinds of set backs and inconsistencies, especially ones that are so apparent to her clients". Yes, you could say that, but I hope you will look at it another way.

Coaching is not only what I do for a living; it is who I am. I will never give up improving my coaching business and the value I provide, even if I fail 10 more times. Self-acceptance is a major key in the path to true happiness. I accept the fact that I have not presented a great newsletter in a timely manner. However, I do not accept the failure. I do not accept not trying again. I am sure you have heard the saying, "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. I am trying again

Here is the plan for this newsletter. It will be delivered to you monthly between the 15th and 23rd of the month. I will do my very best to bring you topics of interest if you want a balanced life, a prosperous business, a great career, a fantastic relationship or just a big smile on your face. The intention for this newsletter is to provide you with some self- inquiry and a grin.

With this: I hope you enjoy the new and improved version of my newsletter. Let me know what you think. You can email me at coachjille@humanedgeinc.com

THOUGHT OF THE MONTH

Don't Give Up!

"Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will."
Mohandas Gandhi

Look at a young child working on a project, cutting with little plastic scissors, drawing with markers, taping the loose ends, and never a thought of failure. There is just, "What do I need to make this what I want it to be?' When it's all done, no matter what it looks like, there's a sense of pride and accomplishment. What does this tell us?

Don't fear failure. It's not very often that we get it right on the first try. It's the second, third of one hundredth try that makes it work. Understand that there will be failures and learn from them.

Avoid Judgment. If things are not turning out exactly as you envisioned, don't get discouraged. See what you end up with. Some of the World's Greatest inventions were borne from mistakes.

Accepting a situation is the first step to gaining power over it. Accepting yourself is the first step in gaining power in your life.

YUK IT UP!
The trouble with being in the rat race is that even if you win, you're still a rat.
Lily Tomlin

Don't compare yourself with someone else's version of happy or thin. Accepting yourself burns the most calories.
Caroline Rhea

I honor my personality flaws. Without them, I'd have no personality at all.
Margot Black

QUESTIONS OF THE MONTH
The language of coaching is questioning. So, each month I will leave you with a question or two that you can ask yourself that is designed to help integrate the message of the newsletter. To best utilize the value of this question, get a journal or notebook, write the question in it and take a few days to consider it. Then write the answer in your journal. I invite you to share your learning with me.

What are the qualities and strengths that you truly admire in yourself?
Why do you admire them?
What would your life be like if you fully accepted yourself and where you are right this moment?

With Love
Jille
